Please use the link below to access the Planning Department’s Public Notice concerning rezoning of some parcels near the intersection of Kensington Way and Vasquez Avenue.

The public hearing will take place at City Hall, Room 400, on Thursday, October 9, 2025, beginning at 12:00 PM (Noon).

This announcement was previously sent to all property owners and neighbors who live within 150 feet of the proposed rezoning.

Walt Stevenson Art Exhibit – September 20-21, 2025

Walt Stevenson is a longtime neighbor and retired SFSU professor. Over the September 20/21 weekend, he will demonstrate dye on silk painting and be showing his latest art, including paintings, jewelry and scarves.  

The event covers the city but Walt’s studio (at his home) is at 264 Granville Way @ Claremont Blvd. He will be holding an open studio from 11AM to 6PM September 20 and 21.

Wine Walk – September 18, 2025

It’s time for the biannual West Portal Wine Walk!  Join us on Thursday, September 18 from 4:30–7:30 PM for an evening of community, wine, and fun along West Portal Avenue.

Enjoy tastings at 12 participating stops while strolling the neighborhood. The walk begins at Armstrong Carpet (369 West Portal Ave), where you’ll pick up your commemorative glass and a map of all the merchants taking part.

 New this year! Live music featuring local bands—so you can sip and sway while discovering varietals curated by Unwine’d.
